Peabody library announces summer reading program

The summer reading program, "Laugh It Up At Your Library," begins July 1 and will continue through the month.

Silly stories, jokes, and humorous books will be the focus of this summer's reading program. There will be activities, stories, games, and snacks at each session.

The reading program will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. July 1, 8, 22, and 29. (There will not be a session July 15.)

Children entering kindergarten through sixth grade may register to join in the fun at the Peabody Township Library during regular hours (from 2 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, Thursday until 7 p.m., and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. until noon.)

In addition, the library board and the Peabody Elementary School PTO have invited Thad Beach, a musician and entertainer, to perform at the library at 2 p.m. July 8. He will present "Songs, Giggles, Rhymes, and Wiggles." Everyone is invited to this free presentation.
