Peabody Community Fund grant recipients announced
Peabody Community Fund will be holding annual fund-raising activities Saturday with the annual Groundhog Day Pancake Breakfast.
Serving will be from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Peabody Senior Center.
Donations go to benefit the fund and future grants to promote and enhance the community.
The PCF Board also will present three grant awards for $300 each at this event.
Seven excellent applications were received and considered for community grant projects.
The 2008 grant recipients will be Sorosis Beta for a community message board project; Peabody Main Street Association for downtown fall banners; and Boy Scouts of America local pack and troop for assistance with program costs (books, uniforms, summer camp expenses, etc.).
Peabody Community Fund and Greater Newton Community Foundation representatives will be on hand Saturday to present these awards to the three local recipients.
