Peabody class of 45 celebrates reunion years ago
Peabody High School class of 1945 celebrated its 60th class reunion over Memorial Day weekend.
Those enjoying the noon meal Sunday at Arletta's at Burns were Helen (Manka) Storbeck of Winfield, Marion (Bundy) and Eugene Graber of Liberal, Douglas and Betty Fisher of Haven, Robert Klein and Doris Little of San Jose, Calif.
Dean and Dolores Hiebert of Towanda, Ruby (Klein) Friesen of Hillsboro, and Lee and Arlene Rempel, Marjorie (Gaines) and Fordyce Gray, and Maxine (Atkins) Seibel of Peabody.
Following the meal, the group returned to Peabody Christian Church basement for reminiscing, looking at old class pictures, and pictures of former teachers. Letters from Shirley (Stovall) Hadley and Joyce (Pulaski) Seaman were read.
An annual Memorial Day dinner was served at noon Monday at the Brown building.
Those attending were Mary (Carr) Herpich, Helen Storbeck, Marion and Eugene Graber, Douglas and Betty Fisher, Dean and Dolores Hiebert, Robert Klein, Doris Little, Ruby Friesen, and Maxine Seibel.
