Peabody-Burns fourth graders share haiku poetry

Students in fourth grade at PBES recently studied haiku poetry. Haiku is an old form of Japanese poetry usually based on observations of life or nature.

The poetry formula uses a set number of syllables per line rather than words that rhyme.

The fourth grade poets are students of Shawna McCartney and Jennifer Young.
