Peabody-Burns FFA chapter to host week of activities

Peabody-Burns High School FFA members will be involved in activities next week designed to raise awareness about the FFA program in the local school.

Students will conduct a work auction at 7:15 p.m. Monday following a free meal (beginning at 6:30 p.m.) provided for those who are on hand to bid on the FFA students. Each member will be "sold" for eight hours of labor. Funds raised go to support FFA projects, trips, and educational opportunities.

On Tuesday FFA members will host the FFA Alumni chapter luncheon. All current FFA members and FFA alumni are invited to attend this noon event.

PBHS students will be encouraged to drive farm implements to school on Wednesday. They will participate in a "parade" down Walnut Street to the downtown area around noon to show off the equipment.

Thursday members will host the FFA Appreciation Breakfast from 6:30 to 8 a.m. at the high school. All parents, faculty and staff of USD 398, FFA Alumni members, and local business people are invited to attend this appreciation meal.

The work auction, luncheon, and breakfast all will take place in the vocational agriculture rooms.
