PeaBay first round a success

In the previous newsletter we introduced the Main Street version of Peabody eBay and called it PeaBay.

We offered a Tucker Produce thermometer/calendar, a Peabody High School stage band album recorded in the 1970s, and a 1966-67 PHS basketball schedule that included photos of the varsity players and coaches.

The total for the items sold in that first PeaBay experiment came in at a whopping $490. Thanks to those of you who submitted bids and congratulations to the winners.

We definitely will be using the eBay method to sell another group of Peabody memorabilia in the future.

Keep watching and if there is anything specific you'd like for us to try to find for your future bidding pleasure, contact Joanna Brazil at the city office, 300 N. Walnut, Peabody, KS., 66866.
