PBJHS Tomahawk team falls to Sedgwick Cardinals

PBJHS took on the Sedgwick Cardinals Thursday to open the season, and fell 26-8.
The Tomahawks gave the Cardinals good field position early in the contest when they fumbled the opening kickoff. Sedgwick took advantage and put up six points.
On the next offensive series for the Tomahawks, they moved the ball 65 yards. Isaac Hilliard ran for a score and Jacob Simmonds added a two-point conversion to give the Tomahawks an early 8-6 lead.
Sedgwick intercepted a Tomahawk pass right before the half and returned it for a touchdown to lead 12-8 at the break.
In the second half, Sedgwick put up two more scores.
The Tomahawks play Thursday at Canton.
