PBJH runners finish first

The home course obviously agreed with PBJH runners Thursday. The varsity boys' team earned a first place with four varsity runners in the top 20. The team will compete next at Marion County Lake.
Andrew Topham led the boys' varsity team with a first place finish by running the course in 16:42. Jacob Wolf came in fifth. Duane Unruh placed 17th and Aaron Topham came in 20th. Ryan Wiebe placed 30th, Kendall Wiebe 35th, and Josh Klarmann finished 36th.
The boys' junior varsity team was led by a Seth Alstrom with a second place finish. Seth Methvin came in 13th, Curtis Frederick 18th, Thomas Kretchmar 19th, Carsten Scheben 23rd, and Ethan Riggs 26th.
The girls' junior varsity finishes included Samantha Pickens at 76th, Jessica Rosine 77th, and Erica Frederick 83rd.
The junior high team had two first place finished. Sheldon Wiebe and Lauren Pickens both won their eighth grade divisions. Heather Brooks came in eighth in the eighth grade girls' race and Amanda Pickens ran seventh in the seventh grade girls' competition.
