PBHS track athletes qualify for state tourney

Six Peabody-Burns High School athletes ranked high in regional competition Friday at Howard, and qualified for the state track meet this weekend at Wichita's Cessna Stadium.
Championship awards will be presented at 8:45 Saturday evening.
state qualifiers
Andrew Topham - 1. 1600m run. 1. 3200m run.
Derrick Simmonds - 2. 400m dash.
Will Pratt - 2. Shot put.
4x400m relay, fourth - Simmonds, Ryan Wiebe, Robert Rossberg, Duane Unruh.
4x800m relay, fourth - Simmonds, Wiebe, Rossberg, Unruh. (alternates: Topham, Adam Benson, Jacob Wolf).
