PBHS students win medals at Centre meet
Students from Peabody-Burns High School continue to bring home medals from area forensic meets.
Thirteen students competed March 13 at Centre High School and six returned with medals.
Jeconiah Spangler and Ricky Hill placed second in duet acting, Sandra McLeod placed third in serious solo acting, Maex Sammet placed fourth and Anna Zappone placed sixth in humorous solo acting, and Katy Schmidt placed seventh in poetry interpretation.
Other students participating were Krystal Brown, Ashley Elliott, Holly Faunce, Jade Garcia, Charity Gwinup, and Micah Hilliard.
The forensics team is sponsored by Dorothy Rucker.
The group took a breather last week for spring break, but will be competing Saturday at Chase County. Regional and state competition follow.
