PBHS students place at forensics tournament
Several Peabody-Burns High School students participated Saturday in the Council Grove Invitational Forensics Tournament.
Katy Schmidt received a fifth place medal for her prose interpretation.
Other PBHS students placing were Sandra McLeod, ninth, prose interpretation; Jacob Wolf, ninth, humorous solo acting; and Anna Zappone and Oliver Whitney, ninth, improvised duet acting.
Also participating were Ricky Hill and Holly Faunce in the category of improvised duet acting. Observers attending were Chloe Boley, Laura Hoffman, and Holton Middleton.
Other schools participating in the tournament were Chase County, Osage City, Marion, Hope, Chapman, Silver Lake, Northern Heights, Olpe, Clay Center, Marais des Cygnes Valley, Rossville, Rock Creek, Mission Valley, Hartford, Wabaunsee, St. Xavier, and Herington.
