PBHS hosts league vocal honors concert

Peabody-Burns High School hosted the Heart of America League Vocal Honors Concert Oct. 10.

Select vocal groups and singers from 13 league schools met in the Brown Building concert hall. They spent the afternoon in rehearsals preparing for a public concert.

The concert opened with performances by the Remington Singers, Peabody-Burns Voices, and the Goessel Elbiata Singers.

Guest clinician Dr. Diane Lewis from Sterling College directed the 200-plus member HOAL Mass Choir in seven selections. The choir received a standing ovation.

The HOAL vocal honors concert is a great opportunity for students from smaller schools," said Steven Glover, PBHS vocal director.
