PBHS golfers complete busy week on the links

The Peabody-Burns High School golf team has been busy in competition the past several weeks. The team has participated at Chase County, Marion, and Riley County.
At Chase County, the team shot 320 and placed second in a field of four teams. Joseph Zappone earned a fifth-place medal with a round of 72. Brian Wingert placed eighth, Travis Pohlman 12th, Anthony Jones 15th, and Thomas McGee 16th.
At the Marion inviational May 2, the Warriors came in fifth out of 10 with a score of 381. Wingert had the top Warrior finish at 11th place with a round of 88. Pohlman was 19th, Jones 31st, Zappone 34th, Jeremy Berger 37th, and McGee 52nd.
Pohlman received a third-place medal at Riley County with a score of 73. Zappone was 18th, Wingert 22nd, Jake Watts 25th, Berger 27th, and Jones 33rd. The team finished fourth of seven teams.
