PBHS forensics team medals at meets

The Peabody-Burns High School forensics team competed Feb. 3 in a meet at Sterling.

Seth Methvin placed seventh in informative speaking. Melissa Hiebert was seventh in prose interpretation. Shelby Elliott and Methvin were eighth in improvised duet acting.

Other teams included Little River, Berean Academy, Chase, Claflin, Ellinwood, Fairfield, Great Bend, Halstead, Hoisington, Larned, Moundridge, Nickerson, Pratt, and Hutch Trinity.

On Feb. 5, the team competed at the Goessel Invitational.

Medal winners included Melissa Hiebert, second, serious solo acting; Seth Methvin, fourth, informative speaking; Methvin and Jessica Rosine, fifth, improvised duet acting.

Others who placed were Ruth McLeod, seventh, prose interpretation; Charlie Rippe and Traylee Woodruff, eighth, improvised duet acting; Rippe, eighth, humorous solo acting. Felicia Pohlman also competed in prose interpretation.

Other teams were Hutch Trinity, Hesston, Marion, Berean Academy, Goessel, Moundridge, and Sedgwick.
