PBHS forensics team competes at Hesston, Hutch Trinity
Peabody-Burns High School forensics team participated March 28 at the Hesston Invitational Forensics Tournament.
Ruth McLeod received a medal for serious solo acting, second place.
Others placing in the tournament were Dane Lau, informative speaking, eighth, Chelsea Mackey, original oration, ninth, and Anna Zappone, humorous solo acting and Set Methvin, informative speaking, 11th.
Also competing for PBHS were Ethan Riggs, prose interpretation, Grant Buller, serious solo acting, Charlie Rippe and Hollee Reynolds, humorous solo acting, and Grant Buller and Alex Holm-McDowell, duet acting.
Other teams competing included Marion, Goessel, Sterling, Halstead, Little River, Minneapolis, Haven, Lyons, Smoky Valley, Andale, Moundridge, Hoisington, Ellsworth, Collegiate, and Berean Academy.
Heart of America League Forensics Tournament was held April 3 at Hutch Trinity.
Medal winners included Ruth McLeod, serious solo acting, third, Charlie Rippe and Alex Holm-McDowell, improvised duet acting, fifth, Chelsea Mackey, original oration, sixth, Anna Zappone, humorous solo acting, sixth, and Dane Lau, informative Speaking, seventh.
Those placing were Ethan Riggs, prose interpretation, seventh, and Carrie Crane, serious solo and Seth Methvin, informative speaking, 10th.
Other competitors included Charlie Rippe and Tabitha Carrell, humorous solo acting, Grant Buller and Alex Holm-McDowell and Jessica Rosine and Becky Morris, duet acting, Tabitha Carrell and Charlie Rippe, humorous solo, Becky Morris and Grant Buller, serious solo, Anna Zappone and Seth Methvin, improvised duet acting, and Tabitha Carrell, poetry.
Goessel, Sedgwick, Little River, Moundridge, Berean Academy, Bennington, Inman, Remington, and Hutch Trinity also competed in the tournament.
