PBHS forensics team competes at Herington

Peabody-Burns High School forensics team participated Saturday at the Herington Invitational Forensics Tournament.

Medal winners included Ruth McLeod, serious solo acting, second, and Seth Methvin, informative speaking, fifth.

Others placing in the tournament were Dane Lau, informative speaking, eighth, and Anna Zappone, humorous solo acting, ninth.

Also competing for PBHS were Oliver Whitney and Jarred Weems, and Anna Zappone and Seth Methvin, improvised duet acting; Ethan Riggs, prose interpretation; Rebecca Morris, Grant Buller, and Carrie Crane, serious solo acting; and Charlie Rippe, humorous solo acting.

Brenda Riggs was the judge representing PBHS. Other teams competing included White City, Marion, Chase County, Goessel, Chapman, Northern Heights, Abilene, Wakefield, Council Grove, Centre, Southeast Saline, and Hillsboro.
