PBHS forensics members medal at Hillsboro
Members of the Peabody-Burns High School forensics squad competed Feb. 23 in the Hillsboro Invitational Forensics Tournament.
Several students received medals during the tournament and qualified for state festival competition in May.
Medals winners were Anna Zappone, second place, humorous solo acting; Oliver Whitney and Anna Zappone, second place, and Michael Unruh and Jeconiah Spangler, fifth place, improvised duet acting.

Sandra McLeod placed eighth in serious solo acting at Hillsboro. Others participating were Ashley Elliott and Kara Gridley in improvised duet acting, and Katy Schmidt, Frankie Stevenson, and Charity Gwinup in prose interpretation.
Other schools participating in the Hillsboro event were Sterling, Smoky Valley, Elyria Christian, Haven, Hesston, Lyons, Chase County, McPherson, Abilene, Marion, Chapman, Little River, Salina Central, Goessel, and Halstead.
