PBHS cross country runner best at state

Peabody-Burns High School cross country season ended Saturday at Wamego on a good note.
Andrew Topham earned the 2A title of boys' Kansas state cross country champion. He ran the 5K course in 16 minutes, 30.63 seconds, in the 102-runner race.
Alyssa Carter ran in the girls' 2-mile and finished 47th in a field of 102 runners. Her time was 14:26.
As a team the boys' took eighth. Jacob Wolf 54th, Ryan Wiebe 85th, Robert Rossberg 89th, Kendall Wiebe 91st, and Ethan Riggs 96th were the final boys' team finishers.
