PBHS Athletes receive post-season honors
Eight Peabody-Burns High School athletes earned post-season recognition this past week from Heart of America coaches.
Kali Alstrom, a senior setter on the Lady Warriors volleyball team, was voted second-team all-league. She compiled 107 assists, 63 digs, 22 kills, eight blocks, and seven aces.
The Warriors football team had two first-team selections. Senior Derek Benson earned honors at tight end with 15 receptions for 348 yards and two touchdowns. He also was voted honorable mention defensive back, recording 34 tackles on the season.
Senior wide receiver Micah Hilliard was the other first-team selection with 40 receptions for 680 yards and eight touchdowns.
Junior Todd Woodruff was named to the honorable mention team at quarterback passing for 1,127 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Sophomores made up the rest of the list for the Warriors.
William Pratt was named honorable mention as kicker and punter with 32 punts for an average of 31.8 yards per kick.
With 77 tackles on the season Nathan Bishop was named to the honorable mention team as well.
Joining him were offensive lineman Nick Abramowich, and defensive back Trevor Hamm, who recorded 31 tackles.
