Pastor Jeffery Glenn
Pastor Jeffery Alan Glenn, 50, of Wichita, died Sept. 24, 2006, following a recent diagnosis of pancreatic cancer and joined the eternal party of praise and worship.
He was born Jan. 28, 1956, to Francis A. and Leona M. (Aronhalt) Glenn Sr. in Winfield.
He attended Winfield schools, graduating in 1974.
From 1990 to 2005, he owned and operated Glennco Home Electronics, a custom installation business.
In October 2005, he joined the staff of Central Christian Church as small groups director.
On Sept. 3, 2006, Jeff's long-held dream became reality as he was officially ordained into ministry.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Claudette (South), son Gaston, 16, and daughter, Jama, 14, all of the home; his mother, Leona Glenn, Winfield; two sisters, Repha Buckman, Hope, Ark., and Del Glenn, Kirkwood, Mo., father- and mother-in-law, James and Carmen South, Peabody; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial celebration will be hosted by Central Christian Church, Wichita, at 3 p.m. Sept. 27.
