Northwest of Durham: Morning Star Church auction draws crowd

The public auction of leftover building material and tools of Morning Star Church was attended Saturday by a good-sized crowd. It was a very nice day for January.
Guests of Marcella Unruh Saturday afternoon were Ruth Thayer and Paula.
Supper guests Friday evening of Bruce and Cheryl Dirks were Palmer and Lucille Base, Lee Schoming of Roxbury, Warren and Jane Unruh, and Ruston and Lydia Dirks.
Overnight guests Saturday of Roy and Nadine Davis were Byron and Edith Janzen of Walker, Mo. Additional Sunday dinner guests were Gerald and Eva Davis, Richard and Charlotte Wiebe and Carlyn, John and Ethel Steiner and Randall, Dale and Kathy Jantz and Ruthann, and LaVae Koehn.
About 10 men from Morning Star Church left Sunday morning for Farwell, Texas, to help for a few days with the building of a church.
