Norma Jean Schuler
Norma "Jean" (Shipman) Schuler, 82, of El Dorado, died May 14, 2007.
Born June 18, 1924, at Beaumont, she was the daughter of Orris Rolland and Audine L. (Arnold) Shipman.
She graduated from Florence High School in 1942, then worked during World War II for Boeing Aircraft in Wichita as an inspector. She also worked for a time in the office of Florence public schools, then with the El Dorado and Butler County Food Service in the school systems.
On April 19, 1946, she married Newton Elmer Schuler at El Dorado. He died in 1993.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and a sister.
Survivors include two sons, Newton Randall Schuler of Topeka and Rodney Scott Schuler of Kansas City; two brothers, Darrel Shipman of El Dorado and Ronald Shipman of Florence; three sisters, Phyllis Blehm and Carolyn Spencer, both of Florence and Joy Page of Valley Center.
Funeral services were held Friday at Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado.
Burial was in Walnut Valley Memorial Park.
A memorial fund has been established with the American Lung Association.
