Nora Tovar
Nora Tovar, 66, of Peabody, died Sept. 12, 2007, at Newton Medical Center, Newton.
The daughter of Carl and Rosalie (Gillian) Andersen, she was born Aug. 1, 1941, at Springfield, Mo.
She served in the U.S. Army at Ft. Jay, N.Y., and worked as a CNA/CMA at Legacy Park, Peabody.
In 1994, she married Henry Tovar. He preceded her in death.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and one sister.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Ortiz of Peabody and Mark Ortiz of Oxford; two sisters, Mary Fisher of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Lucille Perez of Los Angeles, Calif.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A private family service was conducted. Burial was in Winfield Veterans Cemetery, Winfield.
A memorial fund has been established with Caring Hands Humane Society.
