Nightengale family gathers on New Year's Day

Marvin and Sherol Nightengale had their family home New Year's Day for a post-Christmas dinner and gift exchange. Those attending were Mitch and Cathy Foote and Kristen and her fiancé, Brannon Wilds of Manhattan, Jim and Linda Hess, Allie and Amelia of Kearney, Mo., and Brad and Diane Nightengale, Roger, Laura, and Casey of El Dorado.
Al, Bonnie, and Shelby Plummer and grandson, Austin, of El Dorado, left Christmas Day morning for Nixa, Mo., to spend time with Martin and Kayme Voelker, Alyson and Abby. They returned home Sunday.
Al and Bonnie Plummer attended a party New Year's Eve at the home of Rick and B.J. Claassen and boys. They are enjoying their new home.
Ronnie and Patti Gaines went to Canton New Year's Day to Shiloh Manor and took her mother, Esther Highfill, out to lunch.
Dusty Gaines of Newton was a Sunday dinner guest of his parents, Ronnie and Patti. They reported Ronnie's mother, Maude, went to church Sunday morning.
Thursday luncheon guests of Lawrence and Lois Sayers were Mary Archer of Cottonwood Falls, Sandy Sayers of El Dorado, and Bruce and Sheila Sayers, Megan and Jessica. In the evening Bruce and Sheila hosted a surprise birthday supper for Lois, whose birthday was the next day. Sara Sayers, LaVonne Ammeter, and Joyce Kyle were included in the supper. Lawrence and Lois went to El Dorado Friday and had lunch with Sandy Sayers. Later in the afternoon Dave and Shirley Smith of Wichita and their houseguests, Terry and Areanne Smith of Palmer, Alaska, were guests of the Sayers.
Bruce and Sheila Sayers, Megan and Jessica left Friday morning for Holt Summit, Mo., to visit Bruce's daughter and granddaughter, Sarah Ousley and Taylor. They returned home Sunday.
Jim and Beulah Gehring of Moundridge, Mary Langenegger, and Joyce Kyle enjoyed a post-Christmas dinner Dec. 28 in El Dorado. They came back to Joyce's home to visit in the afternoon. Nick and Heidi Zogelman were afternoon callers.
Saturday afternoon Joyce Kyle accompanied Mack and Shayla Clark and Hadlye to Wesley hospital in Wichita to visit Ike Clark and also visited with Marie. Remember them in your prayers.
Vernon, Florine, and Judy Koehn hosted a post-Christmas dinner Dec. 28. Those enjoying the day were Renferd and Wanda Koehn, Lonnie, Dalen, and Carolee, Luana Isaac, Rose Isaac, Ryan and Melissa, and Kevin and Janarro Jantz, Kaylee and Shauna.
Vernon, Florine, and Judy Koehn, Stanley and Jeanette Koehn, and Gene and Louise Koehn were New Year's Eve supper guests of Arnold and Naomi Koehn in Newton.
The Eden Mennonite Church will have revival meetings every evening with visiting ministers, Milton Koehn of Fredonia and Merlin Wiebe of Durham.
