News from Legacy Park

Legacy Park residents have made two trips during October to Walters' Pumpkin Patch near Burns.

They saw crafts displayed in the barn, were entertained by visiting children, and saw pumpkins of all shapes and sizes. They even brought back a chrysanthemum for the outside display.

This past week they also stopped at Burns Café for lunch on the return trip.

Newton Senior Keynotes blessed Legacy Park Oct. 15 with their music.

Dr. Virginia Skinner brought alpacas and a rabbit this month for residents to enjoy. She also entertained at the senior center where residents enjoyed the sing-along.

Residents enjoyed a shopping trip earlier in the month. The changing colors of the season were viewed recently from a scenic drive through the countryside.

Legacy Park is preparing for trick-or-treaters from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday. They are invited to enter the facility from Poplar Street on the west side.
