New Years' resolutions are varied

It's time to get yourself ready to make that annual list of resolutions. Rarely do we begin something with the enthusiasm and good intentions of "starting over in the new year."

To help you examine the wealth of possible lifestyle changes, residents and visitors to Peabody shared their resolutions for next year.

"To drink less pop." — Melissa Parmley, Cedar Point.

"Keep farming until the money runs out." — Gary Jones, Peabody farmer/business owner.

"I never make them because I never keep them." — Steve Rose, Peabody City Council member.

"Teach my dog NOT to use the garage door opener." — Jeff Benbrook, Peabody City Administrator.

"To get this store expanded like it should be." — Rick Turner, owner Peabody Market.

"To get new glasses." — Dinah Richmond, Peabody

"It cannot wait; don't procrastinate." — Pam Lamborn, owner Jackrabbit Hollow.

"We all need to work for world peace, that's what I'd like to see." — Ron Hedrick, employee at Peabody Market.

"2005 will be the year of "eights" for me: 1. eight glasses of water a day. 2. eight hours of sleep each night. 3. only eight cups of coffee an hour. 4. my good intentions ought to last about eight days." — Joanna Brazil, Peabody Main Street director.
