New site, same address
With the advancement of technology more people rely on the Internet as a source of information. It is important that a website be both functional and informational.
The City of Peabody is announcing the launch of the new look and format for the city's website. Our previous website served as a wonderful blueprint for the new site. The new site includes the same links for city council meeting minutes, calendar of events, police, Peabody Main Street Association, businesses, schools, etc., but is easier to navigate and read.
The new site will include more pictures of the parks, buildings, and the community during various activities and projects throughout the year. It also will have more links to other websites with additional information. This site is going to be a continuous work in progress.
Pages will be constantly updated with current information and documents for your convenience. The community calendar is still available. It is encouraged that organizations submit events and activities as they are organized. This will help promote community events free of charge. Events and activities may be submitted to Kristen Hooper, director, Peabody Main Street Association by e-mail at pmsa@peabodyks.com or call 983-2174. This will allow your event to be reviewed and placed on the community calendar. It is hoped that this calendar will serve as an accurate resource for residents and visitors.
The City of Peabody's website has been a long work in progress and will continue to be tweaked over the next few months.
There are three goals for the new website. One is that the website will serve as a resource of information, available 24 hours a day, for community members.
The second is to showcase what Peabody has to offer in ways of tourism.
The third is to illustrate that Peabody is an active, lively community with a true sense of pride and a lot to offer anyone who is just passing through or looking to relocate.
It is exciting to have a new, updated image representing Peabody on the Internet. Please be patient with the upcoming changes and revisions. You can visit the new City of Peabody's website at www.peabodyks.com.
