National FFA week begins Sunday
Peabody-Burns chapter plans variety of events, activities
Peabody-Burns FFA Chapter is planning a number of activities for National FFA Week which begins Sunday.
Members will drive their farm implements to school Monday in support of American agriculture.
On Tuesday, members will have a joint luncheon with FFA alumni members. Members who attended national convention will give a short presentation regarding their trip. That evening, two cakes made by Patti Gaines, will be raffled off during the basketball game.
Members will be up bright and early Wednesday preparing a breakfast of pancakes and sausage. Serving is from 6:45 to 8 a.m. in the high school ag shop.
The chapter's annual work auction is Thursday. Supper will be served at 6:30 p.m. with the auction beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the ag shop. All money raised from the auction goes toward chapter activities throughout the year.
A pizza and bowling party for members will wrap up the week.
