Milton: Soup dinner celebrates birthday

A soup dinner held Thursday at the home of Marvin and Sherol Nightengale was to celebrate Marvin's very special birthday by the hosts, Maude Gaines, Margaret Matz of Peabody, Bill and Marie Clark, Sonny and Joan Clark of El Dorado, Leroy and Norma Riggs of Marion, Ike and Marie Clark, Joyce Barker and friend John Hart of Wichita, Cathy Foote of Manhattan, and Brad Nightengale of El Dorado.

Joyce Kyle met Kathleen Brenzikofer and her daughter Carol Waggy at the Burns Café for lunch. A nice visit was enjoyed.

Joyce Kyle had Burns United Methodist Women at her home Thursday afternoon. Members present were Esta Hall, Minamae Bierman, Esther Nelson, Kathleen Brenzikofer, and Laverna Parrish.

Lawrence and Lois Sayers attended a session Sunday afternoon on "How to Become a Contagious Christian" at the Bible Church in Peabody. They report it was most interesting.
