Milton residents celebrate Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving Day dinner guests of Lawrence and Lois Sayers were Sandy Sayers of El Dorado, Lisa Livingston and Ryan of Derby, and Bruce and Sheila Sayers, Megan and Jessica. Sara Sayers of Florence called later in the afternoon. Sandy was a Thursday and Friday overnight guest, leaving Saturday afternoon. Lois and Sandy went shopping Friday.
Ronnie and Patti Gaines were Thanksgiving dinner guests of Herb and Melinda Gaines. Other guests were Jean Gaines of Holton, Dusty Gaines of Newton, and Bo Gaines of Lindsborg.
Ronnie and Patti Gaines went to see his mother, Maude, several times. She is improving and will be released from the hospital soon.
Overnight guests of Renferd and Wanda Koehn, Lonnie, Dalen, and Carolee on Monday were Roger and Charlene Smith and Shelley of Lobelville, Tenn. From Tuesday through Friday night, guests were Wanda's nephew and his wife, Michael and Annette Bender of Mifflinburg, Penn. They all attended the Church of God in Christ Mennonite Conference at the Coliseum Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. There were 11,000 in attendance on Thanksgiving Day. That evening 2,000 young people sang.
Guests in the home of Vernon, Florine, and Judy Koehn Tuesday through Saturday morning were Vernon's daughter and family, Willie and Cathy Bender, Daryl, Timothy, and Weldon of Mifflinburg, Penn. They also attended the conference.
Joyce Kyle left Tuesday morning for Hondo, Texas, to spend Thanksgiving with her son and his wife, Wayne and Deby. They took her to Bracken Village Tuesay afternoon and toured all the little shops. We enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner at their home. We went to Gruene, Texas, on Friday and enjoyed the historic atmosphere. I returned home Satruday afternoon.
Dinner guests of Mary Langennegger on Sunday were Greg and Zeola Langenegger, April Kasper, Glenn and Daytha Langenegger, Emily, Amber, and Laura, Daniel Unruh, and Joyce Kyle. In the afternoon, Joyce and Kathleen Brenzikofer attended the 50th wedding anniversary of Marvin and Betty Schmidt at the Eden Christian School.
