Milton: Party celebrates two occasions

Ronnie and Patti Gaines and Esther Highfill went to Galva Saturday to attend the birthday celebration of Kenneth Koehn, and also his official retirement from the National Guard.
Lois Sayers had surgery Wednesday morning and came home Friday afternoon. She is doing well. Callers while she was in the hospital and since returning home were Bill and Mary Archer of Cottonwood Falls, Dave and Shirley Smith of Wichita, Gunter and Sheilah Lieeherr of Andover, Leon and Ava Metzker of El Dorado, Gordon and Shawn Entz and Gilbet and Vanessa Loewen of Peabody, Kathleen Brenzikofer, and Joyce Kyle. Her daughter, Sandy Sayers of El Dorado came Saturday to help do some housework. Granddaughters Megan and Jessica also came to help.
Marvin and Sherol Nightengale spent Saturday in El Dorado watching Roger, Laura, and Casey Nightengale play basketball.
Al and Bonnie Plummer were in Elbing Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday evenings attending the Berean tournament. Shelby was a player. Bonnie and Shelby attended a bridal shower honoring Jessica Schmidt of Moundridge at the home of Fern Goodwin. Jessica is Fern's niece.
Wanda and Carolee Koehn and Vernon and Florine Koehn went to Moundridge Manor Friday afternoon to attended the party for January birthdays. Vernon's mother, Eva, is 101 years old.
First Mennonite senior fellowship was at the home of Ted and Lois Roth in Elbing. Attending were the Rev. Reimer of Newton, Dan and Alice Stucky, Esther Stucky, David and Welma Thiessen, and Howard and Darlene Goering, all of Peabody, Larry and Deedee Rehmert of Cassoday, Gene Obee, Mary Langenegger, and Joyce Kyle.
Kathleen Brenzikofer and Joyce Kyle attended Sarah Albright's 90th birthday party in Peabody Saturday afternoon.
Joyce Kyle and LaVonne Ammeter went to the home of Bob and Becky Kyle, Brody and Braxton Saturday evening to help Brody celebrate his eighth birthday. Others enjoying the evening were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hladik of Wichita, Marion and Carolyn Rowland, Glenn and Betty Kyle, Dan Kyle of Florence, and Brad and Sherry Glover, Zack and Carrie of Whitewater.
