Milton news: Nathan Koehn celebrates 80th birthday years ago

The family of Nathan Koehn hosted his 80th birthday party Aug. 1 at Burns Community Center. Noah and Vernella Peachy and family of Belleville, Pa., Royce and Rachel Koehn of James Port, Mo., Reneferd and Wanda Koehn and family, Roland and Kim Koehn and family and Charity Koehn of Moundridge were hosts. Nathan's brother from Colorado and sister from Texas also attended. Approximately 60 people attended.
Marvin and Sherol Nightengale and Ronnie and Patti Gaines attended the George Clark family reunion Saturday at the Banks farm.
Dusty Gaines of Wichita was a Sunday guest of his parents, Ronnie and Patti Gaines.
Al and Bonnie Plummer went to Norton July 31 to the home of Bonnie's mother and brother. They returned home Monday and brought her mother, Florence Lambert with them. Shelby Plummer came Monday and stayed until Thursday. Kayme Voelker, Alyson and Abby of Nexa, Mo., also came Monday and returned home Wednesday. Bonnie and Florence called on Hayley Bidwell and family Thursday at El Dorado. Saturday they called on Doris Garten and Larry Lambert at Valley Center. They are Florence's daughter and son. Florence returned home Sunday.
Bruce Sayers, Megan and Jessica vacationed from Wednesday to Sunday in Colorado.
Joyce Kyle attended the funeral of Evelyn Schmidt Thursday morning at Hillsboro.
Kathleen Brenzikofer and Joyce Kyle called on Minamae Bierman and Roseva McLinden Sunday afternoon at Marion. They went to Eastmoor church and heard Gracia Burnham speak about her Philippines experience.
Judy Koehn, Loretta Koehn, Charity Koehn of Moundridge, and Verna Ensz of Hillsboro left Saturday afternoon to attend the Haitian reunion. They all had been to Haiti at some time. There was a supper Saturday evening and Sunday they attended an all-day meeting. They returned home Sunday evening. Renferd and Wanda Koehn left Saturday afternoon for the reunion, returning home Sunday afternoon.
