Mike and Sylvia Sayers of Colorado Springs, Colo., arrived Thursday afternoon at the home of his parents, Lawrence and Lois Sayers. Joining them for supper were Bruce Sayers, Megan and Jessica of Cassoday and Sandy Sayers of El Dorado. Bruce and Sandy joined them again Friday evening. Jim Padgett, Sara and Autumn were Saturday evening guests. Mike and Sylvia left Sunday morning for their home.
Dalen Koehn went to Port Arthur, Texas, to work on hurricane rebuilding. He will be gone several months and will be missed here, but he is doing some very worthwhile work.
Wanda Koehn, Bertha Koehn and Loretta, and Luana Isaac went Tuesday to Dumas, Ark., to attend the funeral of Paul Smith. Gathering at the home of Vernon, Florine, and Judy Koehn to listen to the funeral service were Rose Forgy, Janarro Jantz, Shauna and Jesse, and Lonnie and Carolee Koehn. Paul was a brother of Florine, Bertha, and Luana.
Bert Zogelman and Joyce Kyle went to Marion Wednesday to call on Roseva McLinden at Marion Assisted Living.
Colleen Brunner and Joyce went to Newton Thursday evening to call on Kathleen Brenzikofer at Newton Medical Center. Kathleen was moved Tuesday to Presbyterian Manor at Newton, where she will be doing rehab for awhile.
Joyce attended the First Mennonite Church Christmas banquet Saturday evening. The food was delicious and the entertainment, a quartet, "Second Generation," was great.
Sherol Nightengale hosted the 20th Century Club Monday afternoon. Those attending were Rhonda Brenzikofer, Marie Clark, Dorene Kirkpatrick, LaVonne Ammeter, Lois Sayers, and Joyce Kyle. In the evening, Marie, LaVonne, and Joyce went to Peabody for the elementary school Christmas program. A very nice day.
