Ronnie and Patti Gaines left Sept. 17 for Illinois and Missouri, returning home Tuesday. They report an enjoyable vacation. They picked up Esther Highfill Friday evening at Shiloh Manor, went to Galva, and had supper with Kenny and Roma Koehn.

Patti Gaines and Donna Glover and Jonathan went to Marion Saturday to the Old Settlers' Day parade and then to Shiloh Manor to introduce Jonathan to Esther Highfill.

Dusty Gaines of Newton was a Sunday dinner guest of his parents, Ronnie and Patti.

Marvin Nightengale went to McPherson Thursday to watch Roger and Laura Nightengale run in the cross country competition. Leroy and Norma Riggs were Sunday guests of Marvin and Sherol Nightengale.

Joe and Dean Fraley of Fayetteville, Ark., were Friday to Saturday guests of Lawrence and Lois Sayers. Joining them for Friday supper were Sandy Sayers and Brice and Sheila Sayers, Megan and Jessica. The Bruce Sayers family also joined them for Saturday breakfast.

Kathleen Brenzikofer and Joyce Kyle went to Newton Wednesday and had lunch with Dee Morgan. Jim Gehring was an afternoon visitor of Joyce's. Kathleen and Joyce attended the Marion Old Settlers' Day parade Saturday and then went to Elbing to the Ted Roth sale.

Joyce Kyle took part in the 25th anniversary hospice open house Friday in Newton. Kathleen Brenzikofer and Don and Laverna Parrish also attended.

Renferd and Wanda Koehn went to Wichita Thursday evening to call on Kevin Jantz at St. Francis hospital. He is improving and needs to be remembered.

Marvin and Erma Koehn of Lobelville, Tenn., visited Monday with Vernon, Florine, and Judy Koehn. Marvin is a brother of Vernon and Erma is a sister to Florine.
