Marvin Nightengale came home Wednesday after having surgery Monday. We wish him well. Brad Nightengale of El Dorado stopped by several times during the week. Thursday, Roger and Casey Nightengale called. Don and Twylah Nightengale visited Saturday. Norma and Leroy Riggs of Marion were Sunday visitors.
Dusty Gaines of Newton was a Sunday dinner guest of his parents, Ronnie and Patti.
Saturday night to Monday guests of Al and Bonnie Plummer were their grandsons, Austin, Draven, and Aiden Bidwell of El Dorado.
Bruce Sayers, Megan and Jessica left Friday afternoon for Holt Summit, Mo., to visit his daughter, Sarah and Don Hunt. They returned home Sunday.
Lawrence and Lois Sayers had supper Friday evening with Sandy Sayers in El Dorado.
Friday evening supper guests of Rose Forgy, Melissa, and Ryan for a fish fry and visiting were Kevin and Janarrao Jantz and family, Luana Isaac, Ron and Cynthia Koehn and family, and Don and Janice Schmidt and Justina of Eureka.
First Mennonite Church senior fellowship held its monthly potluck supper Wednesday evening at Burns Community Building. Attending were Pastor Arlen Busenitz, Dave and Esther Stucky, David and Welma Thiessen, Howard and Darlene Goering, Dan and Alice Stucky, Ruth Ann Schmidt, Phyllis Mitchell, Gene Obee, Kathleen Brenzikofer, Mary Langenegger, and Joyce Kyle.
Evelyn Sidener and Joyce Kyle met Betty Ireland in Florence and went on to Marion to go to Tampa for the Marion County senior citizens board meeting.
Joyce Kyle went to Wichita Saturday and picked up Evelyn Beard and they attended the burial of an aunt, Grace Kyle, at White Chapel Memorial Garden. They later called on Phyllis Nedeau.
Kathleen Brenzikofer, Evelyn Sidener, and Joyce Kyle attended the 60th wedding anniversary open house Sunday for Ralph and Margaret Carlisle in El Dorado. Ralph, Evelyn, and Joyce were classmates. Later in the evening they attended the Burns United Methodist Church supper.
