Ronnie and Patti Gaines, Dusty Gaines of Newton, and Kim Gaines of Emporia were among family and friends celebrating the first birthday of Connor Koehn, son of Shawn and Jean Koehn of Moscow. The party was held Saturday at the Galva Senior Center. Connor is the grandson of Kenny and Roma Koehn. Patti's mother, Esther Highfill, was able to attend.

Marvin and Sherol Nightengale traveled to El Dorado Friday to attend the El Dorado-Derby basketball game. Their grandson, Roger, was one of the players.

Jeremy and Hayley Bidwell, Austin, Draven, and Aiden were Saturday guests of Al and Bonnie Plummer and Shelby. While they were visiting, their house burned. Austin spent Saturday night with the Plummers. We are sorry to hear of their loss and wish them well in finding another home.

Winter has been quite severe and the roads have been a mess. Thanks to Ronnie for taking care of all. News is very scarce. I was home all week and very happy to be there.

Monday evening supper guests of Renferd and Wanda Koehn, Lonnie, Dalen, and Carolee were Robert and Dorothy Koehn and David and Shannon Smith, Mason and Austin. Dinner guests Sunday were Nathan and Ella Koehn.

Kevin and Janarro Jantz, Kaylee and Shauna hosted a birthday supper Thursday evening honoring Lu Issac and her grandson, Ryan. Other guests were Vernon, Florine, and Judy Koehn, Renferd and Wanda Koehn, Lonnie, Dalen, and Carolee, and Rose Isaac and Melissa.

Stewart and Karen Koehn's daughter, Ashlie, suffered a sledding accident Saturday. She has damage to her kidney and liver. Ashlie is a patient in HCA Wesley in Wichita. Remember her in your prayers.
