Milton: Mothers honored at family gatherings

Lois Sayers and daughter Sandy of El Dorado went to Wichita Saturday to have a fun time for a Mother's Day celebration. Bruce and Sheila Sayers, Sara, Devon, Megan, and Jessica were Sunday dinner guests to celebrate Mother's Day.

Dusty Gaines of Newton and Ronnie and Patti Gaines went to the home of Ty and Kim Gaines in Emporia Friday evening. They celebrated Ty's birthday and Mother's Day. Ronnie and Patti took his mother, Maude, to the Burns Café Saturday to celebrate Mother's Day with her. Esther Highfill, Kenny and Roma Koehn of Galva, and Dusty Gaines were Sunday dinner guests of Ronnie and Patti.

Larry, Dee, and Steven Morgan attended Berean commencement on Saturday. Curtis Wiebe was a graduate. Later, they attended a reception in Curtis' honor at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Wiebe.

Marvin and Sherol Nightengale left Friday afternoon for Kearney, Mo., and were guests in the home of Jim and Linda Hess, Allie and Amelia until Sunday evening. They were joined by Mitch and Cathy Foote on Sunday to celebrate Mother's Day.

Mother's Day dinner guests of Renferd and Wanda Koehn, Lonnie, Dalen, and Carolee were Nathan and Ella Koehn and Roland and Kim Koehn, Deby, Doug, Kayla, and Diana.

Mary Langenegger and Joyce Kyle accompanied Glenn and Daytha Langenegger to McPherson Friday to attend the May Day parade.

Mother's Day dinner guests of Mary Langenegger and Gary were Greg and Zeola Langenegger, Glenn and Daytha Langenegger, Emily, Amber, and Laura, Trish Curiel, Kristen, Matthew, and Justin of Newton, and Joyce Kyle. Joyce attended the open house for Harold and Reva Goodwin later in the afternoon. The Goodwins are to be congratulated on their 60th wedding anniversary.

Laurie and Geanna Bowers of Buhl, Idaho, were weekend visitors in the area. They used to live here years ago.
