Milton: Janzens celebrate anniversary

Clarence and Ruth Janzen of Moundridge Manor, formerly of Burns, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday with a family dinner at Arletta's Refinishing and Catering. All of their children were present, Mr. and Mrs. Byron Janzen of Walker, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. Delano Janzen and Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Janzen, all of Phoenix, Ariz., Mr. and Mrs. John Hostetler (Rita) of Macon, Minn., and Mr. and Mrs. Jake Hostetler (Georgie) of Gentry, Ark.
Marvin and Sherol Nightengale were guests Monday evening in the home of Brad and Diane Nightengale, and Roger, Laura, and Casey Nightengale in El Dorado. They enjoyed supper, ice cream, and cake to help Roger celebrate his birthday.
I had a birthday this week with much celebrating. Mary Langenegger and I met Archie and Maryellen Stenzel of Marion Wednesday morning at the Burns Café for breakfast. Many called to wish me a Happy Birthday. Jim and Beulah Gehring of Moundridge and Mary Langenegger and I enjoyed supper Sunday evening at Newton. The PATH group wished me a Happy Birthday Thursday morning at the Burns Café.
Kathleen Brenzikofer and Joyce Kyle called on the Rev. Dale and Donita Houghton at Cassoday. He is recovering quite well from his stroke. Thursday Kathleen and Joyce attended the Wonsevu Ladies Thanksgiving dinner. Evelyn Sidener, Kathleen, and Joyce attended the Marion County Senior Citizens board meeting Friday at Peabody.
Bob Kyle of Peabody called Saturday afternoon on Joyce Kyle.
Patti Gaines, Marvin and Sherol Nightengale, Maude Gaines, and LaVonne Ammeter attended the Summit Church Charge Conference Tuesday evening at Aulne.
Vernon and Florine Koehn attended the funeral of Vernon's aunt, Lena Ratzlaff, Saturday at Mountezuma.
