Most of the harvesting is done in this area. The weather has been very favorable for harvesting, but very miserable for humans.
Marvin and Sherol Nightengale went to Augusta Saturday morning to watch grandson Casey Nightengale play baseball.
Lawrence and Lois Sayers and their daughter Sandy of El Dorado went to Cottonwood Falls on the Fourth of July and were lunch guests of Lois' sister, Mary Archer. She came home with them and was an overnight guest. Lois and Mary went shopping Saturday, then Mary returned home.
Joyce Kyle was mowing Tuesday evening when she was pleasantly surprised. Mary Clark's brother Bruce Ehmke of Pemberville, Ohio, drove his newly restored 1931 Model A Roadster in to show Joyce. His passengers were Marie, Bayleigh Clark, and Diane Nelson. Seeing that car brought back lots of memories and if I hadn't been so dirty, I would have had a ride!
Joyce was a guest at the home of Carol Callahan for a cook-out July Fourth evening. She joined relatives and friends.
Charlotte Koehn, daughter of Royce and Rachel Koehn of Jamesport, Mo., arrived Saturday at the home of Renferd and Wanda Koehn, Lonnie, Dalen, and Carolee. She was an overnight guest. Joining them for Sunday dinner were Starla Schmidt, Gwenda Koehn, and Leah Koehn.
Alan Isaac of Rich Hill, Mo., father of Janarro Jantz and June Huls, died Sunday evening. We extend sympathy to the family.
