Milton: Dinner is surprise for birthday

Those enjoying a surprise birthday dinner for Ed Grimwood on Thursday, hosted by Tom and Nedy Grimwood at their home, were Irene Elisha, Minamae Bierman, Gene Obee, Kathleen Brenzikofer, and Joyce Kyle.
Maude Gaines accompanied Ronnie and Patti Gaines to the home of Mary Olson in Marion Sunday to attend a family dinner.
Mary Langenegger and Joyce Kyle met Archie and Maryellen Stenzel of Marion for breakfast Wednesday morning at the Burns Café.
Lawrence and Lois Sayers went to Cottonwood Falls Tuesday to call on her sister and husband, Bill and Mary Archer.
Sunday dinner guests of Roland and Kim Koehn, Deby, Doug, Kayla, and Diane were Vernon and Florine Koehn and Judy, Heidi Toews, Grace Yoder, and Steven and Rachel Koehn, Victoria, Samantha, and Jordan.
Kathleen Brenzikofer, Mary Langenegger, Gene Obee, and Joyce Kyle went to the home of Ted and Lois Roth in Elbing Friday evening for the First Mennonite senior fellowship supper. Others there were the Rev. Elmer and Tina Reimer, Esther Stucky of Newton, Dave and Esther Stucky, Dan and Alice Stucky of Peabody, and Larry and Dede Rehmert of Cassoday.
Mary Langenegger and Joyce Kyle went to a birthday party Saturday evening at the home of John and Rhonda Schrock, Morgan and Kaitlyn in Hesston. Kaitlyn was the birthday girl. Others helping celebrate were Jim and Beulah Gehring, Jim and Helen Schroeder and Cole of Moundridge, and Charle and Bonnie Johnson, Desert and Laken of Wichita.
It was reported that Bonnie Enz of Hillsboro, daughter of Marvin and Bertha Koehn, had a knee replacement and extensive surgery in Kansas City. She is doing quite well and will be coming home soon.
Ellis Smith is having double bypass surgery Monday. We wish both of these well.
Marvin and Sherol Nightengale left Friday for Kearney, Mo., to help their daughter and family, Jim and Linda Hess, Allie and Amelia, move. They returned home Sunday evening.
