Marvin and Sherol Nightengale called on Ike and Marie Clark Sunday afternoon.
Bonnie Plummer went to Kearney, Neb., a week ago to be with her mother, Florence Lambert, who had fallen and broke her hip. She took her mother back to Norton and is doing quite well. We wish her a speedy recovery.
Shelby Pummer of Lawrence came home Aug. 5 and returned Monday to go to school this week. She worked hard at getting things ready for their garage sale last weekend.
Wednesday evening visitors of Vernon, Florine, and Judy Koehn were Bertha and Loretta Koehn and their houseguests, Howard and Iris Smith of Birmingham, Ala. Howard is a brother of Florine and Bertha.
Nedy and Christopher Grimwood called on Joyce Kyle Friday afternoon. Jim Gehring of Moundridge was a Tuesday afternoon caller.
Sunday dinner guests of Mary Langenegger were Greg Langenegger, Glenn and Daytha Langenegger, Emily, Amber, and Laura, and Joyce Kyle.
Sunday evening Barbara Anderson hosted a barbecue for former "Blaze" contributors. Enjoying the evening were Kathleen Brenzikofer, Tom and Nedy Grimwood and Christopher, Brad and Barbie Stuhlsatz, and Joyce Kyle.
The rain and cooler weather is so enjoyable, we are thankful.
