Jim and Linda Hess, Allie and Amelia of Kearney, Mo., were weekend guests of her parents, Marvin and Sherol Nightengale. Brad and Diane Nightengale, Roger, Laura, and Casey of El Dorado were Sunday supper guests. Mitch and Cathy Foote of Manhattan came Monday.
The community expresses sympathy to the family of Ike Clark, who died Thursday. Several attended the visitation Sunday afternoon at Peterson Funeral Home in Newton and the funeral Monday at Burns United Methodist Church.
Al and Bonnie Plummer went to Camp Wood Saturday for the 60th birthday celebration for Steve Griffin. Later in the afternoon they went to Rose Hill to attend the 14th birthday party for Dalton Plummer.
Lawrence and Lois Sayers, Mary Archer of Cottonwood Falls, and Sandy Sayers of El Dorado attended a birthday dinner and celebration Saturday for Treva Skinner at Winfield. She was 90 years old. Treva is Lois and Mary's aunt.
Kim and Brooke Gaines of Madison were weekend guests of Ronnie and Patti Gaines. They met Dusty Gaines in El Dorado Sunday and all enjoyed lunch. Kim and Brooke left for their home after lunch.
Joyce Kyle attended the funeral Wednesday for Al Schmidt at Alexanderwohl Church near Goessel. She went to the blood drive in Burns Saturday.
Evelyn Sidener and Joyce Kyle attended the Marion County Senior Citizens' board meeting Friday at Florence.
