Megan Cox awarded scholarship
Newman University at Wichita has announced that Peabody-Burns senior Megan Cox has been awarded a Presidential scholarship.
Cox will enter Newman University in the fall and major in nursing. To be eligible for a Presidential scholarship an applicant must have at least a 3.6 grade point average and a score of 25 on the ACT or 1130 on the SAT.
Cox also was awarded a cheerleading stipend from the university.
She is the daughter of Randy and Laurie Cox of Peabody.
