Medals stack up for women harriers

More medals were awarded last week to the Peabody-Burns cross country team. Competing at Harvey County East Lake, the girls' squad placed second overall. Individual medals also were awarded to the Warrior runners. The team will now train for the league meet in two weeks.
Ashley Elliott placed first once again for the team, running the two-mile course in 13:06. Kate Topham was fourth, Jana Windsor placed sixth, and Alyssa Carter was 10th.
Nicholas Whitney brought home a 10th place medal for the Warrior men.
On the junior high side of the cross country team, Andrew Topham recorded a first place win at a recent meet in Derby.
