Maxine Kellison

Services were conducted Tuesday in Wichita for former Peabody resident Edna Maxine Kellison, 84, a former teacher, homemaker, and secretary at Boeing.

She died Saturday in Newton. Burial was at Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Peabody.

Born Feb. 2, 1919, in Peabody to William Bryant Keller and Edna Pearl (Nonken) Keller, she married Millard "Red" Kellison on Sept. 24, 1947, in Peabody.

Her parents and husband preceded her in death, as did three brothers, Harold, Victor and William, and a sister, Martha Holmberg.

Survivors include a son, David, of Chandler, Ariz.; a daughter, Debra K. King, of Wichita; and three sisters, Helen Hanneman of Edmond, Okla.; Mary Haines of Apache Junction, Ariz.; and Bernice Cole Gillig of Great Bend. Other survivors include a granddaughter and three great-grandchildren.

The family has suggested memorials to Friendly Acres Retirement Community, 200 SW 14th St., Newton KS 67114.
