Martha Scharping
Martha M. Scharping, 93, of Hillsboro, died Oct. 19, 2005.
Born May 13, 1912, in Beaver County, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of C.J. and Minnie (Unruh) Hiebert.
On Feb. 20, 1938, she married Herbert M. Scharping at Hillsboro. He died in 1977.
She was a member of First Mennonite Church, Hillsboro.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, Stanley Scharping.
Survivors include a daughter, Kay Frances of Cottage Grove, Ore.; daughter-in-law, Ruby Scharping of Wichita; two grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Saturday morning at First Mennonite Church, Hillsboro, with Pastor Randy Smith officiating.
A memorial fund was established with the church.
