Marion Widler
Marion Elaine Widler, 72, died Aug. 1, 2002, at Marion Manor Rehabilitation Center in Marion.
She was born Aug. 24, 1929, at Eden, Wis., the daughter of Andrew and Alice (Arndt) Guell. She grew up in Wisconsin and attended grade school there.
On Oct. 18, 1952, she was married to Billy Widler at Eden, Wis. Two sons were born, Doug and Dana.
Widler was a licensed practical nurse and worked at numerous places in Wichita. She retired in 1986 and moved near Cedar Point in 1987.
Survivors include her husband, Billy; her sons, Doug and Dana, all of Cedar Point; two brothers, Ronald Guell of Eden, Wis. and Darrell Guell of Oakfield, Wis.; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were Tuesday afternoon at Zeiner Funeral Home at Florence with the Reverends Tom Macy and Dallas Evans officiating.
Music was provided by Rick Griffin, vocalist, and Becky Edwards, organist.
Casketbearers were Galen Pruitt, Richard Page, Ed Zabel, Ron Kelsheimer, Jerry Starkel, and Larry Kohr. Honorary bearers were John Whistler and Mike Dunham.
Interment was at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Florence.
A memorial fund has been established with Marion Manor.
