Louis Satterlee

Louis Satterlee, 90, retired NCR technician who farmed from 1975 through 1993 near K-15 in the Goessel community died June 28, 2003.

He had been an active member of Goessel Steam Engine Club.

Among survivors are his niece, Patsey Henderson, Peabody.

Graveside services were held Tuesday morning at North Canton Cemetery. A memorial service was held that afternoon at Woodland United Methodist Church. A memorial fund has been established at the church.

His grandfather, Emmitt Jay Satterlee, had a tin shop in Peabody between 1878 and 1892.

He was an active member of the church and Albert Pike Masonic Lodge and was an active volunteer for the American Red Cross.

He was buried by his first wife, Evelyn. Survivors include his wife, Melba; son, Robert; daughter, Revelyn Alpaugh; two stepsons; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
