Look out world, here they come!

It seems a little ironic that in one opinion column I am trying to encourage former high school graduates to stay connected while wishing the newest crop a fond farewell. It is part of the cycle of our lives.

Congratulations, class of 2003! It is your turn to leave us behind and embark on your adult lives. College, careers, the armed services await you. I hope we have given you what you need to get started in that next step. The world you are about to inherit has many problems and challenges. It also has much promise and there are rewards out there with your names on them. Go for it!

You are a good group of kids and it's been a pleasure to watch you grow the last four years. Have some fun, keep an open mind, work and study hard, don't do stupid stuff.

Remember us and come back from time to time. Good luck.
