Local school bands to present holiday programs
Steve Glover, instrumental music director for Peabody-Burns schools, has announced the annual Christmas program will take place at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Brown Building concert hall.
The concert will feature seasonal music by junior high band students, high school concert band, and high school stage band.
The high school band will present "A Mannheim Steamroller Christmas" followed by the traditional Christmas story. The Rev. Marilyn Cox will narrate the Christmas story and Sheryl Simmonds will be guest vocalist.
"The public is invited to attend this annual event," said Glover. "It's a good way to support our music students and get into the holiday spirit."
There is no admission charge for the concert.
